Privacy, in plain words
A1ZW runs these playtests to learn how our games and art feel to real people.
What we collect
- Your device type, screen and window size, pixel density, whether it has a touch screen, and the browser's own description of itself (its "user agent").
- The graphics chip name, only if the browser shares it without asking you.
- How smoothly the game ran (frame rate), how long you played, when the tab was hidden, and any errors.
- Your inputs and what happened in the game, so we can replay the run.
- Your survey answers or art feedback, if you send them.
- The country your connection comes from, for rough statistics.
What we never collect
- No name, email or account. Each play gets a random id that is not linked to you.
- No IP address is stored in our database and app logs. A scrambled form of it is used for a moment to stop floods of requests, then forgotten.
- No camera, no microphone, no location. This site is not allowed to ask for them.
- No advertising or tracking cookies. One cookie keeps your play session together and expires within hours.
How long we keep it
Everything is deleted automatically after 90 days.
Who sees it
Only the A1ZW team, as totals and anonymous play records. We do not sell or share it.
Children
When a link is for a family with children, a grown-up must tick "A grown-up says OK" before play starts.
Questions
Ask the person who sent you the link; they will pass your question to us. Because plays are anonymous, we cannot look up a single person's data.
